Francisco Faraco - Mentoring Finance Students at University of Chicago

Francisco Faraco is a New York City executive who delivers a variety of wealth management services. He is active with the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute (CFAI) and is also a longstanding member of the Dean's Advisory Council for the Physical Sciences Division (PSD) at the University of Chicago. New York resident Francisco Faraco earned his MS degree in Financial Mathematics at UChicago.

Mr. Faraco’s graduate work at UChicago included a research project on the topic "The Mexican Peso Crisis and the Tequila Effect across Latin American Emerging Markets.” Also holding an MA in Economics earned at the American University in Washington DC, he wrote an empirical research paper on "Time-Series Analysis of Venezuelan Capital Markets, using the Jensen’s Alpha factor as measure of abnormal returns."

Mr. Faraco’s continued close ties with the University of Chicago are reflected in his role as a Teaching Assistant with the Industry Professionals-In Residence (IPR) program in the Master of Science in Financial Mathematics. His focus is on providing quantitatively oriented mentorship and assistance to students pursuing that degree.
